I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard the dismissive “Oh, Kim, you’re such a radical.” It used to bother me. I’m not big on labels, and I don’t take to being swept under the rug so kindly. But you know what? I’m owning the “radical” label. Heck yeah, I’m radical. Dang right. Cuz I aim for the roots, welcome change like a mofo, and dive into the unconventional.
My purpose in writing at radical yoga is to shrink the strange gap between yoga and politics. If that sounds risky, good. Risk of this nature shakes up stagnation, nudging us closer to the edge of what’s possible. Get a deeper gist of where I’m going with all this on the platform page.
I’ll be making posts every Tuesday. Why just once a week? I like to take my time in writing these pieces. Also, I’d like y’all to fully invest in what you’re reading. The 24/7 info blitz encourages us to consume and throw out. It’s much easier to contemplate and engage with what you care about when you can sit with it for a bit.
Hmmm… What else might you like to know? Well, my name is Kimberlyn David. I’m a publisher, editor, and writer; teacher and student of yoga; travel junkie; and food freak. Most of the year I hang my hat in Isla Taboga, a tranquila of a spot outside Panama City, Panama. I gotta say, the island life can be pretty nice.
